A Haiku for Saniya

Saniya (pronounce Sonya") is smart, ambitious, friendly, fun-loving and generous. She has a passion and talent for event planning and connecting people in the community. While she has accomplished many achievements and successes in her personal and professional life, she has remained very humble, down-to-earth and respectful of others. As a matter of fact, she likes to speak like a sweet-tea drinking Southern (even though she's not) with her "Yes, ma'am" and "No, ma'am."

Here is my haiku for Saniya:

honest happy heart
bursting with passion and love
a beautiful being

Now, it's your turn to write her a haiku in the comments. Or something.

A Haiku for Cyrilles

Cyrilles loves good food (and wine). And he's not just playing "dress-up" with that chef's jacket; he has been a chef and owner of a fine dining restaurant for over 20 years! His secret to staying slim? Along with eating healthy foods, he works out 3-4 times a week. Cyrilles is also an avid cyclist, who often spends his holidays cycling across Europe. Another fun fact? He is 6'4"!

Here is my haiku for Cyrilles:

forget what "they" say
about trusting skinny chefs
this slim one can cook!

Now your turn to write him a haiku.

A Haiku for Kelly

Kelly is as friendly and happy-go-lucky as she looks like in this photograph. She's the kind of girl that everyone wants to be friends with because she is so cool, confident, kind-hearted, generous, creative, intelligence and all-around awesome. And oh, she's also a model!

Here is my haiku for Kelly.

She's one of those gals
who can wear your grandma's clothes
and still look stylin'!

Now your turn to write her a nice little haiku.

A Haiku for Shariq

Shariq (rhymes with "Eric") has an infatuation with statistics, analysis and research, which makes his current job as an analyst for the government perfect for him! While he may seem like the kind of guy that might have an addiction to playing video games, Shariq actually has a wide variety of interests, including: reading, storytelling, playing board and card games, volunteering, watching movies, cooking, and playing sports!

Here is my haiku for him:

crazy adventures
crazier misadventures
make stellar stories!

Now your turn to write Shariq a haiku! Have fun with it. Remember, it doesn't matter if you know him or not, it's always fun to write someone a haiku! :)

A Haiku for Andrew

Meet Andrew. He is a city politician, but doesn't he look more like a guy that knows a thing or two about computers and electronics than politics? His friendly smile, easygoing and down-to-earth personality and down-to-earth almost makes him too nice to be a politician! But you know what? Those lovable traits won him those hard-earned, highly-coveted votes! And maybe when he's done his 4-year term on city council, he'll go back to his previous job at the electronics store...

Here's my haiku for Andrew.

It's hard to believe
This slim (but not shady) man
was once twice his size!

Now your turn to write him a haiku! As an avid reader, he'll definitely appreciate it!

A Haiku for Brittney

Brittney (not Britney or Brittany!) is a fun-loving gal with a zest for life! While she enjoys travelling as much as the next person, she also loves playing tourist in her hometown. When she isn't doodling dinosaurs or unicorns at work, she is out and about with her real (and imaginary) friends dining at the latest restaurants, attending and/or organizing fun, geeky events in the community, volunteering, or wandering the streets admiring street art.

And if she sees something sparkly, I imagine this is what she's thinking:

Glitter, glitz and gold!
objects that shimmer and shine
I must make them mine!

That's my haiku for her. Now your turn to write her a little poem or note...and go!

A Haiku for Ali

Ali is born to be a librarian! She enjoys learning new things and has an insatiable curiosity. Some may call her a bookworm, but I prefer the term bibliophile, a more sophisticated way of saying "a lover of books." She probably spends more time online than the average person, but she does make time for writing, ballroom dancing, and traveling.

Here is my haiku for her:

simply another word for
a quest for knowledge

Now your turn to write her a haiku poem.
